Interac vs. Crypto: Which Is Faster for Canadian Casino Deposits?

Crypto wins on raw speed (USDT cleared in 5–15 minutes at FatFruit and Rooli) but Interac wins for ease of use, no exchange friction, and identical welcome-bonus eligibility.

In our May 2026 test cycle we compared Interac against three crypto methods (USDT, BTC, ETH) across the five operators on our top-nine list that accept both: Rooli, FatFruit, SpinFever, Fresh Casino, and Casombie. The results below come from real-money deposits and withdrawals on each combination.

Deposit speed. Interac deposits credited in under 15 minutes at every operator. USDT deposits cleared in 5–10 minutes (after 1 TRC-20 confirmation). Bitcoin and Ethereum took 10–30 minutes depending on network congestion. Crypto wins by a small margin.

Withdrawal speed. SpinFever was the fastest Interac in our cohort (C$150 in 3 hours), and Rooli was next (C$500 in 2h 14m). FatFruit cleared a C$200 USDT-equivalent withdrawal in 15 minutes. Bitcoin and Ethereum landed in 10–30 minutes once the operator initiated the transaction, but operator-side queuing added 1–4 hours.

Bonus eligibility. Interac qualifies for the welcome match at all five operators. Crypto qualifies at four of five — Fresh Casino excludes crypto deposits from the welcome bonus per its bonus T&Cs as of May 2026. At Rooli, both Interac and crypto qualify, but the full Up to C$4,000 + 475 Free Spins package requires promo code LUCKY to be entered at registration regardless of deposit method.

Verdict. If you already hold crypto, USDT at FatFruit or Rooli is the fastest combination we tested. If you are starting from a Canadian bank account, Interac is the lower-friction path — and the welcome-bonus eligibility is identical.
